FAQs
How do I get to The Belfry on the bank holiday weekend?
By train, head to Birmingham New Street or Coleshill Parkway, then jump in a taxi or use the official event shuttle (usually runs from Coleshill Parkway — check the DP World Tour website for 2026 shuttle details). By car, The Belfry is just off the A446 near junction 9 of the M42 — but expect heavy bank holiday traffic, especially Sunday. Car parking is on-site and included with most day tickets, but arrive early. The club also runs park-and-ride from nearby sites on peak days.
What's the best spot on the course to watch?
The 18th hole is unmissable — that approach over the water is iconic from four Ryder Cups. Grab a grandstand seat early for the final round. The 10th hole is another crowd favourite, especially when the leaders are coming through. Walking the back nine on Sunday afternoon with a leaderboard in hand is as good as it gets in British golf.
Is there anywhere good to eat and drink on site?
The Belfry is a full resort so there are plenty of options — the Hospitality Village has food and drink stalls throughout the course, and the hotel bars and restaurants are open to spectators. The Sam's Bar at The Belfry is a great spot for a post-round pint. Most people bring their own snacks too — check the bag policy on the official site, but small bags and soft flasks are usually fine.
What's the dress code?
There's no formal dress code for spectators — smart casual is the norm and entirely appropriate. Leave the stilettos at home if you're walking 18 holes of the Brabazon. Layers are wise for a late August bank holiday in the Midlands — it can be glorious sunshine or a cheeky shower. Comfortable shoes are essential.
Can children attend for free?
Yes — under-16s go free when accompanied by a paying adult. This makes it a brilliant family day out. Just make sure your adult ticket is valid for the day you're attending. Under-16s do not need a separate ticket but must be with a paying adult at all times.
Who is hosting the 2026 event?
The 2026 British Masters is hosted by Sir Nick Faldo — six-time Major champion and one of the greatest golfers Britain has ever produced. Faldo has a special connection to The Belfry, having been part of multiple Ryder Cup squads here. He'll be visible throughout the week doing interviews, meet-and-greets, and may well be playing in the pro-am. A proper legend of the game.
