Goodwood's terms of entry prohibit commercial resale above face value; tickets found to be sold at a premium may be cancelled by the organiser. FAQs
Which day should I go if I can only make one?
Saturday is the classic choice — the hillclimb is at full pace, the supercar paddock is buzzing, and the atmosphere is electric. Sunday has the beautiful Cartier Concours finale and the last hillclimb runs of the weekend. Both sell out earliest, so grab tickets as soon as you can.
How do I get there from London?
Train from London Victoria to Chichester takes around 1h 45m (Southern Rail). From Chichester, Goodwood runs official shuttle buses directly to the estate gate — well worth it to avoid the car park queues. By car it's the A3 then A286 toward Chichester, but expect serious traffic on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Arrive before 8am if driving.
Is there parking on site?
Yes — Goodwood has large car parks on the estate, included with most tickets. Pre-booking a parking pass is strongly advised; walk-up parking can sell out. Camping and glamping options also available with their own parking areas. The shuttle from Chichester is honestly less stressful on peak days.
What's the best spot to watch the hillclimb?
The Flint Wall at the base of the hill is iconic — you feel the cars launch off the line. The Molecomb corner grandstand gives a brilliant view of the cars at speed mid-hill. For F1 cars and Group B rally monsters, the section just past the flint wall is where the noise is truly savage. Get there early to claim a rail spot.
What should I wear?
Goodwood is famously relaxed — smart casual is the vibe for general admission. Think summer weekend at a country estate: linen, chinos, good shoes (the ground can be uneven). Hospitality and Lord March's Enclosure guests tend to dress up a little more. A light layer for the evening and sunscreen for Sunday are essentials. Ear defenders for the kids — and, honestly, yourself.
Are children welcome and is there stuff for them?
Absolutely — Festival of Speed is very family-friendly. Under-3s go free, and there are dedicated family areas. The sheer variety of machines, the interactive manufacturer stands, and the Action Sports Arena keep kids entertained all day. Junior car enthusiasts tend to leave completely obsessed.
What's the 30th anniversary special programme?
2026 marks 30 years since Lord March first invited a handful of cars up his driveway in 1993. Expect a commemorative parade of cars from every era of the event's history, special anniversary liveries, and some surprise reveals. The central feature sculpture by Gerry Judah is always a highlight — the 30th will be one to remember.

No cancellations, schedule changes, venue issues, or dropped participants detected across any source.
