FAQs
How do I get to Lowther Deer Park?
Penrith is your nearest station — it's on the Avanti West Coast mainline from London Euston (about 3 hours) and well connected from Manchester too. From Penrith there are official shuttle buses running direct to the site during the festival. Driving? Postcode CA10 2HH, and there's onsite parking available but book it in advance — it sells out!
Is there camping at Kendal Calling?
Yes! Camping is the heart of the Kendal Calling experience. There are general camping fields, plus premium glamping options. Camping is a separate add-on ticket — make sure your listing or request mentions whether camping is included. Weekend tickets without camping are also available if you're staying locally.
Can I buy a day ticket rather than a full weekend?
Day tickets are released for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (Thursday is usually evening access only). Saturday day tickets go fastest — that's your big headline night. If you only want one day, Saturday is the one.
Are tickets transferable? How does name transfer work?
Kendal Calling tickets are registered to a name. When you buy via Brockit, the seller will need to initiate a name transfer through the official Kendal Calling ticketing system before the event. Allow a few days for this — don't leave it to the last minute.
What's the vibe and dress code?
There's no dress code — this is a music festival! But be prepared for Cumbrian weather: waterproofs and wellies are your best friends even in July. Layers at night are essential. Fancy dress is very much encouraged on Saturday.
What are the best stages and areas?
The main stage faces the stunning Lowther Castle backdrop — genuinely one of the most beautiful festival settings in the UK. The Woodlands stage is magical at night. The Lost Eden area goes deep into the night for dance music fans. Get there early for a good spot at the main stage.
