FAQs

Why are there two nights and why does it matter?

The M72 tour is built around two completely different setlists — Night 1 and Night 2 share zero songs. If you only go to one night you're literally missing half the show. Die-hards are doing both. You've been warned 🤘

How do I get to London Stadium?

Stratford station is your best bet — it's served by the Elizabeth line (fast from central London), the Central line, DLR, and Overground. From central London you're looking at about 15–20 minutes. Avoid driving — parking around the Olympic Park on event nights is a nightmare.

What's the Snake Pit?

The Snake Pit is the standing area right in the centre of the stage — you're surrounded by the band on all sides. It's the most intense, immersive way to experience Metallica live. Snake Pit GA tickets are the hardest to come by and always sell out first.

What time do doors open and when does Metallica actually come on?

Doors typically open around 4:30–5pm for major London Stadium shows. Support acts usually start around 6pm. Metallica typically hit the stage around 8:30–9pm and play for close to 2.5 hours. Check the official event page nearer the time for exact timings.

Are there good pubs nearby before the show?

The Goldengrove on Stratford High Street is the classic pre-gig pub. Westfield Stratford City is right next to the stadium and has loads of bars and restaurants if you want something a bit more civilised before the chaos. Get there early — it fills up fast on show days.

Is there a dress code?

Ha — it's Metallica. Black t-shirt mandatory. Bonus points for anything from the Master of Puppets or Black Album era. Seriously though, wear comfortable shoes and something you don't mind getting sweaty in if you're on the floor.

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

It depends on your ticket type. Metallica uses Ticketmaster's mobile ticketing system — some tickets allow fan-to-fan transfer through the Ticketmaster app, others are locked to the original buyer. Check your booking confirmation for the transfer option before listing here.
